Submit a Book

The Amelia Island Book Festival is accepting submissions for the 2008 Amelia Island Book Festival, October 3rd - 5th. Submissions are closed for the 2007 Amelia Island Book Festival. Each year, the Festival selects more than 30 authors of many genres to present programs and meet readers.

For consideration, please mail the following:

  • A form letter with:  Name, home address, phone number and email address
  • Copy of published book
  • A short biography
  • Workshop(s) proposals for writers and/or readers

Special consideration will be given to authors who supply the Festival with all the requested information.  Deadline for the 2008 Amelia Island Book Festival is March 31, 2008.

The Amelia Island Book Festival reviews all entries and has several criteria for choosing the featured authors list, including quality of writing and appeal to the reading public.

Please note:

  • Submit books published between 2006-2008. (If earlier books are in print, you may send those in addition to your most recent one, if you wish.) For books coming out in 2008, please send galleys, manuscript or an Advance Reading Copy for our review.
  • Submission of materials does not guarantee an invitation. The Amelia Island Book Festival will acknowledge receipt of books if an email address is provided. Due to the number of submissions, we are only able to send out invitations. If you do not hear from the Festival by May 1, 2008, we regrettably were unable to include you in the line up.
  • Authors who are selected should receive emailed invitations in June at the latest.
  • Books submitted become the property of the Festival. Those not selected for participation will be donated to the Nassau County library system.
  • Publishers are welcome to recommend authors and submit books.
  • Authors do not have to live in Florida; the Festival invites featured authors from many states.

Send books and materials to:
